Dr. Hothefa Shaker Jassim is the Associate Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research at the Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS), Oman, where he leads the institution’s research strategy and postgraduate development. With over 18 years of international academic and professional experience, he has played a central role in advancing research excellence, innovation, and industry collaboration.

Dr. Hothefa has secured and led multiple national and international research grants and published extensively in Scopus- and WoS-indexed journals. His expertise spans Artificial Intelligence, Optimization, Cybersecurity, Computer Networking, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

He holds a Ph.D. in Computer and Communication Engineering and a postdoctoral fellowship from leading Malaysian universities. Recognized for his visionary leadership and commitment to advancing knowledge, Dr. Hothefa continues to inspire innovation and research-driven impact across disciplines.
